Regarding Yad Vashem

To the EDITOR:
THE ARAB CLAIM THAT YAD VASHEM IS BUILT ON ARAB
LAND, UNDERSCORES THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF PEACE AT
ANY FORESEEABLE TIME. FOR THERE IS NO SPOT -
EVEN A SPOT - INSIDE ISRAEL THAT THE ARABS,
AKA 'PALESTINIANS,' WOULD EVER AGREE IS UNDER
ISRAELI SOVEREIGNTY. THAT IS THE REASON, DESPITE
SHARON AND BUSH ASSURANCES, THAT WE WILL NEVER
SEE AN ARAB BOOK WITH A MAP DESIGNATED
'ISRAEL."

THE ISRAELIS AND INDEED, THE WORLD,
ARE BEING LIED TO WITH THESE GEOPOLITICAL
CLAIMS, THAT THERE ARE NEW MOVES TOWARD
'PEACE." THE EVIDENCE IS NOT THERE, AND THE
DIPLOMATIC ASSURANCES ARE ONLY BECAUSE THAT IS
THE WAY DIPLOMACY DISTORTS, THINKING THEY CAN
COMMAND THE SEA TO HOLD BACK, AS THE FABLED
KING CANUTE IS SAID TO HAVD COMMANDED ,
FRUITLESSLY, OF COURSE. THE STORY OF KING
CANUTE IS A FABLE, AND SO IS THE CLAIM OF A NEW
PEACE MOVE RECOGNIZING ISRAEL.

THE GREEKS UNDERSTOOD THE STORY WAS FABLE; THE WORLD HAS YET TO GRASP THAT POINT, SO WHO IS MORE REALISTIC?
